General Information & Registration

1. Do I need to create a customer account to place an order with Solarcraft?

Yes. Creating a customer account is mandatory for placing orders in our online shop. As we supply exclusively to business customers, this process is required to verify your commercial activity.

2. How can I register as a new customer?

Registration is reserved for business customers only. Please click on “Register” in the top-right corner and complete the form with your contact details. You will then be asked to upload your business documents so we can activate your account.

3. Which documents are required for registration?

To verify your company with Solarcraft, we require your business registration document to be sent by email. For all other countries, a valid VAT identification number is required.

4. Which prices are displayed in the shop?

All prices are shown net, excluding statutory VAT and shipping costs. Many products include tiered pricing, meaning higher order quantities automatically result in lower unit prices.

5. Can I contact Solarcraft directly?

Of course. You can reach our team by email at [email protected] or by phone at +49 721 909 990 99.

6. Does Solarcraft also install photovoltaic systems?

Product Data, Availability & Project Planning

1. Where can I find datasheets and certificates (e.g. for grid connection applications)?

All technical datasheets, unit certificates and installation manuals are available directly on the respective product detail page under the “Downloads” tab. If any document is missing, please contact our sales team.

2. Can I reserve products for planned projects?

Yes. For larger construction projects, we offer project reservations. Please contact your dedicated sales representative with your bill of materials and the planned implementation period. Cart reservations without checkout are not technically possible.

3. Are the stock levels shown in the shop updated in real time?

Yes. Our shop is directly connected to our warehouse management system. The status “In stock” means the goods are physically available in Karlsruhe. For items marked “Incoming” or “On request”, we are happy to inform you about the expected delivery date.

4. Do you offer interfaces (CSV/Datanorm) for trade software?

We currently do not provide CSV exports of our product data. However, we can supply selected product information on request.

5. How can I check whether a module is compatible with a specific inverter?

Compatibility should be verified using the technical datasheets (voltage, current, MPP range) of the module and the inverter. Many manufacturers also provide official compatibility lists.

6. What happens if an ordered product is discontinued by the manufacturer (EOL)?

If a product is discontinued (“End of Life”) during an ongoing project, we cannot guarantee that the same item will be supplied again. We will only offer technically equivalent alternatives.

7. Are there minimum purchase quantities or project-based special conditions?

Standard products generally do not have minimum order quantities. For larger projects or pallet-based orders, we are happy to review individual project pricing.

8. How quickly can I expect delivery if the product is in stock?

Stock items are usually ready for dispatch at short notice. After receipt of payment, shipping typically takes place within 24–48 hours, depending on the product and carrier transit times.

Shipping & Project Logistics

1. Is direct delivery to the construction site (dropshipping) possible?

Yes. We can deliver directly to your end customer’s address. Please enter the deviating delivery address during checkout and mark it as a “construction site delivery”. Ensure truck access (up to 40 t) is possible for larger orders.

2. Do you offer neutral shipping to my end customers?

At present, we do not offer a neutral delivery note. Solarcraft will appear as the sender to your end customer.

3. How is delivery notification handled?

Freight shipments are generally pre-advised by phone. Please make sure to provide a mobile number that can be reached during the day—ideally that of the site manager or installer—to avoid demurrage or failed delivery attempts.

4. Are the trucks equipped with tail lifts and pallet trucks?

Delivery is generally made “kerbside”. For pallet deliveries of modules, unloading equipment (forklift / wheel loader) must be provided on site unless otherwise agreed.

5. Can orders be split into partial deliveries?

No, unfortunately this is not possible. You must place two separate orders.

6. How are long items and modules packaged?

Solar modules are shipped flat on special one-way or returnable pallets, professionally strapped and shrink-wrapped. Mounting rails (long items) are packaged separately.

7. What requirements must be met on site for delivery?

The delivery address must be accessible for trucks. In most cases, unloading equipment (e.g. forklift) is required. Any deviations must be communicated in advance.

8. How are transport damages or shortages handled?

Transport damage or discrepancies must be noted upon delivery and reported promptly. We will then handle the clarification with the carrier.

Complaints, Warranty & Liability (B2B)

1. What are my obligations upon receipt of goods (duty to inspect)?

As a business customer, you are obliged under § 377 of the German Commercial Code (HGB) to inspect the goods immediately upon receipt for completeness and transport damage. Any visible damage must be noted on the driver’s delivery document.

2. How do I report a warranty case (technical defect)?

For technical defects (e.g. inverter malfunctions), please use the form in the dealer area. In many cases, direct processing via the manufacturer’s service department is faster. We will gladly assist with the necessary contact details.

3. How is the replacement of defective modules handled?

Please report the defect with a photo of the nameplate, a description of the issue and measurement results (e.g. string voltage). After manufacturer approval, a replacement will be provided. Defective modules must be stored until the case is fully resolved.

4. Does Solarcraft cover replacement costs (removal and reinstallation)?

As a wholesaler, we are liable within the scope of statutory warranty for defect-free goods. Costs beyond the replacement delivery are generally covered by manufacturer warranty allowances, provided these are stipulated in the warranty terms. We will assist you in submitting such claims.

5. Can I return goods that I ordered in excess?

As the statutory right of withdrawal applicable to consumers does not apply to B2B transactions, the return of non-defective goods is only possible on a goodwill basis.

6. What should I do in case of incorrect deliveries?

If you receive an incorrect item, please notify us in writing within 48 hours, quoting the delivery note number. We will promptly arrange replacement delivery and/or collection of the incorrect goods.

7. What deadlines apply to complaints and warranty claims?

Obvious defects must be reported immediately upon receipt of goods. Hidden defects must be reported without delay after discovery. Warranty periods are governed by the manufacturer’s specifications.

8. Which documents are required for a complaint?

Typically, we require the invoice number, serial numbers, a fault description and meaningful photos.

Payment, Invoicing & Taxes

1. Which payment methods are available?

As standard, we offer prepayment by bank transfer. For approved existing customers and partner companies, purchase on account (with a payment term) is also available following a successful credit check.

2. How will I receive my invoice?

For environmental reasons, invoices are sent electronically by email to the billing address stored in your customer account. Copies can be requested at any time.

3. Can I add my own reference to the invoice?

At present, it is not possible to add a custom reference or comment to your order.

4. Deliveries within the EU: Are they VAT-exempt?

Yes. If a valid VAT identification number and an EU delivery address are provided, the delivery is treated as a VAT-exempt intra-Community supply. VAT ID validity is checked automatically during registration.

5. Deliveries to Switzerland (non-EU): What should I note?

For deliveries to Switzerland, invoices are issued net (without German VAT). Swiss customs duties and import VAT apply and must be paid by the recipient.

6. When is my customer credit limit adjusted?

Your credit limit is determined based on your payment history and external credit assessments. For larger projects requiring a higher limit, please contact our accounting department or your sales representative in advance.

7. Can multiple orders be combined into a collective invoice?

No. For accounting and tax reasons, each order is invoiced separately.

8. What happens in case of late payment or outstanding invoices?

In the event of late payment, we reserve the right to suspend further deliveries, charge reminder fees and adjust the credit limit. Our B2B payment terms apply.
