The Huawei LUNA2000-5kW-C0 is a power control module of Huawei's home battery system. The LUNA2000 batteries consist of lithium iron phosphate cells and can be stacked up to three floors high to achieve a maximum storage capacity of 15 kWh per stack. However, the system can be expanded with a second stack to reach a total capacity of up to 30 kWh with two parallel stacks.
Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) is considered one of the safest and most stable battery chemistries for energy storage due to its wide temperature range and limited risk of thermal runaway (overheating).
The LUNA2000-5kW-C0 has a battery capacity of 5 kWh. The home battery works with most solar inverters but was primarily designed to seamlessly integrate with Huawei inverters.
